United Colors of Holi

On behalf of Hindu Students Council, a partner organization of United Colors of Holi, we would like to invite you to join us to celebrate the festival of Holi.

For thousands of years, Holi, the festival of color, has celebrated the advent of spring and the end of winter, the victory of truth and justice, and a day when the communities gather, to play, enjoy, forget and forgive.

Since the 1960s, Hindus have enriched every aspect of American life. Today, when the USA and Canada are going through divisive times, Hindu tradition can show the way. The underlying Hindu principle of universalism, expressed as “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” – Entire Universe is One Family sends a powerful message of harmony and acceptance.

This year, in the spirit of joyous celebration and the coming of spring, we are bringing together people from all nationalities, races, ethnicities, colors, creeds, genders, etc. to celebrate the “United Colors of Holi.” Let us join together and explore what unites us and how we can overcome our differences for a better world.
